Day 2. Reinhard Heydrich

REINHARD HEYDRICH
ONE OF THE MOST EVIL MEN WHO EVER LIVED. We retrace his final trip beginning from the location of departure (Heydrich’s former residence), through to observing the place where the actual assassination occurred- albeit now part of a dual carriageway. We devote a full day to cover the events leading to the assassination attempt, culminating at the church where the Commando’s  made their last stand. Day 2 pm.  Trip to Prague “Kbely” aeronautical museum .

Continue to Kbely Museum (Prague) For this short journey we use the highly efficient underground Metro system which takes us to within 10 minutes of the museum. We then take a taxi which delivers us right to the museum entrance. We use the same mode of transport to return to the centre.

Amongst numerous other aircraft “pride of place” goes to an original Czech Squadron Spitfire.

Day 3 am.

We proceed on to Lidice

(30 MINUTES FROM PRAGUE)..WE ARE STILL LINKED WITH HEYDRICH HERE-so to speak! THE TOWN AND ALL IT’S INHABITANTS, WERE DESTROYED IN REPRISAL FOR HIS ASSASSINATION

Day 3 pm Czech wwii memorial tour

We continue on too Theresienstadt (Terezin)  only a short journey (max one hour) from Lidice. An infamous so called-‘transit camp’ which belies the horror’s of being interned there. ‘Libby’s’ Father ‘Josef’ was interned here.

Day 3. Evening return to Prague

Day 4. Journey Prague to Svitavy early start (approx 2 hour journey).

Birthplace of Oscar Schindler. We also take in his former factory nearby. This factory is the one where he took his workers after they were expelled from his Krakow factory.

Day 4. Evening return to Prague.  End of tour but we would include cost of hotel as you could not be expected to go straight to an airport.

Day 5. Your free day to explore Prague. Our people will be in attendance.

Although not part of the trip we suggest a visit to the historic Jewish quarters and cemetery etc. If you wish to extend your visit we can assist.
